Support

Be found without a network.

When a disaster takes the network down, HelpKnock turns each phone into a Bluetooth beacon: a short-range rescue app that helps trapped people be found, be identified and talk with rescuers nearby.

Not a replacement for emergency services. If you have any signal, call 119 or your local emergency number first.

Getting started

  1. While you are calm, fill in your details and choose what to share.
  2. Allow Bluetooth, Location and Motion & Fitness.
  3. When something happens, open the app and tap “I need help”.

Is HelpKnock free?

Yes. Every feature is free. The coffee in Settings is an optional tip and unlocks nothing.

Does the other phone need HelpKnock too?

Yes. Both phones need HelpKnock, with Bluetooth on.

How far does it reach?

Bluetooth reaches only a short distance, and less through walls and rubble.

Can I close the app?

Do not swipe HelpKnock away in the app switcher: iOS will not reopen it, and nobody can find you. After a restart, open it again.

Privacy

HelpKnock has no server and no account. What you enter stays on your phone and goes only to phones nearby over Bluetooth. See the Privacy Policy.

Requirements

iPhone or iPad with iOS 18.6 or later, and Bluetooth turned on.

開始使用

  1. 趁平常把資料填好、選好要分享什麼。
  2. 允許藍牙、定位與「動作與健身」。
  3. 真的出事時，打開 app、點「我需要幫助」。

HelpKnock 要錢嗎？

不用。所有功能都免費；設定裡的咖啡是自願打賞，不會解鎖任何東西。

對方的手機也要裝 HelpKnock 嗎？

要。雙方的手機都要裝 HelpKnock，並且開著藍牙。

藍牙傳得多遠？

藍牙只傳得到很短的距離，隔牆、隔瓦礫會更短。

可以把 app 關掉嗎？

不要在多工畫面把 HelpKnock 滑掉：iOS 不會再把它打開，別人就找不到你。重開機後要再打開一次。

隱私

HelpKnock 沒有伺服器、沒有帳號。你輸入的資料留在你的手機上，只透過藍牙給附近的手機。詳見隱私權政策。
