Restore what's under the logo.
Alphade removes semi-transparent watermarks, logos and text overlays from your videos on your Mac, and brings back the picture underneath instead of blurring it away.

Getting started
- Open a video: click Choose Video… in the sidebar, or drag a video into the window.
- Drag a box around the watermark in the picture. Drag the handles to adjust it.
- Click Analyze. The result says whether the watermark removes cleanly, removes by filling, or will be blurry after removal.
- Check the result: switch between Original, Processed and Compare (Command-1 to 3), hold O to see the original, step frame by frame with the arrow keys, press Space to play from the current frame, and zoom to 2× or 4× once the box is drawn.
- Choose the codec (H.264 or HEVC) and the resolution, click Export… and pick where to save.
If something real passes through the box, such as a person or text, open Advanced and mark the area where detail should be kept.
Is Alphade free?
Yes. Alphade is free to download and use, with no purchase, no trial limits and no subscription.
How do I install Alphade?
Download the zip from GitHub, open it and drag Alphade to your Applications folder. The first time you open Alphade, macOS asks whether to open an app downloaded from the internet; click Open. Alphade is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. To update, download the latest version the same way and replace the old one.
With Homebrew, run brew install --cask vulcanshen/tap/alphade, and update with brew upgrade --cask alphade.
How do I uninstall Alphade?
Drag Alphade to the Trash. Its settings and temporary files are in ~/Library/Containers/app.vulcanshen.alphade, which you can delete too. If you installed with Homebrew, run brew uninstall --cask alphade; add --zap to delete the settings and temporary files as well.
Which watermarks can Alphade remove?
Semi-transparent watermarks, logos and text that stay in the same place for the whole video. Opaque logos can be filled in when the background behind them is simple, such as a solid color, a gradient or a slide. Watermarks that move, and opaque watermarks over detailed or live-action backgrounds, aren't supported.
What do Removes Cleanly, Removes by Filling and Blurry After Removal mean?
- Removes Cleanly: Alphade worked out how the watermark was blended in, so whatever is under it is kept too.
- Removes by Filling: the watermark's place is filled from the surrounding background. Anything under it is lost; on a plain background it doesn't show.
- Blurry After Removal: the area has to be filled over a detailed background, so the filled area will show.
Why can't my video be opened?
Alphade opens 8-bit (SDR) MP4, MOV and M4V videos. 10-bit and HDR videos, such as many iPhone recordings with HDR turned on, aren't supported yet.
How do I change the language?
Alphade is available in English and Traditional Chinese, and follows your Mac's language unless you choose otherwise. Click the gear at the bottom of the sidebar, or choose Alphade › Settings, pick a language and restart Alphade.
Privacy
Alphade works entirely on your Mac: your videos are never uploaded and no data is collected. See the Privacy Policy.

開始使用
- 開啟影片：按側欄的「選擇影片…」，或把影片拖進視窗。
- 在畫面上的浮水印周圍拉一個框，拖曳控制點可以調整。
- 按「分析」。結果會顯示這個浮水印「可乾淨移除」、「可移除（用背景補上）」或「移除後會模糊」。
- 檢查結果：在「原始」、「處理後」、「對照」之間切換（⌘1 到 ⌘3），按住 O 看原片，用方向鍵逐格移動，按空白鍵從目前這一格開始播放；框好浮水印之後也能放大到 2 倍或 4 倍。
- 選好編碼（H.264 或 HEVC）和解析度，按「輸出…」並選擇存檔位置。
如果框裡有真實的內容經過（例如人物或文字），可以打開「進階」，標出要保留細節的區域。
Alphade 要錢嗎？
不用。Alphade 可以免費下載和使用，沒有內購、沒有試用限制，也沒有訂閱。
怎麼安裝？
從 GitHub 下載 zip，打開後把 Alphade 拖進「應用程式」資料夾。第一次打開 Alphade 時，macOS 會問是否要打開從網路下載的 app，按「打開」。Alphade 已用 Developer ID 簽章，並經過 Apple 公證。要更新時，用同樣的方式下載最新版，取代舊的即可。
用 Homebrew 的話，執行 brew install --cask vulcanshen/tap/alphade，更新用 brew upgrade --cask alphade。
怎麼移除？
把 Alphade 拖到垃圾桶即可。它的設定與暫存檔在 ~/Library/Containers/app.vulcanshen.alphade，也可以一併刪除。用 Homebrew 安裝的話，執行 brew uninstall --cask alphade；加上 --zap 會連設定與暫存檔一起刪除。
哪些浮水印可以去除？
整支影片都固定在同一個位置的半透明浮水印、logo 與文字。不透明的 logo 如果背景很單純（純色、漸層、簡報畫面），可以用周圍的背景填補。會移動的浮水印，以及疊在細節豐富或實拍畫面上的不透明浮水印，目前不支援。
「可乾淨移除」、「可移除（用背景補上）」、「移除後會模糊」是什麼意思？
- 可乾淨移除：Alphade 算出了浮水印是怎麼疊上去的，浮水印底下的內容也會保留。
- 可移除（用背景補上）：浮水印的位置用周圍背景補上，底下若有內容會消失；背景單純時看不出痕跡。
- 移除後會模糊：需要在細節較多的背景上補，補上的地方看得出來。
為什麼影片打不開？
Alphade 支援 8-bit（SDR）的 MP4、MOV、M4V 影片。10-bit 與 HDR 影片目前還不支援，例如開啟 HDR 錄影的 iPhone 影片。
怎麼切換語言？
Alphade 支援英文與繁體中文，預設跟著 Mac 的語言。要切換時，按側欄最下方的齒輪，或從選單選「Alphade › 設定」，選好語言後重新開啟 Alphade。

Alphade 全程在你的 Mac 上處理：影片不會上傳，也不收集任何資料。詳見隱私權政策。
